We at Commerce Bank are excited to announce two new additions to our banking staff.  Ricky Howie was hired on August 28 as Vice President/Operations and John James, CPA was hired on October 1 as Assistant Vice President/Accounting.

Ricky comes to us from SOUTHBank, where he has worked for the past 12 years as Senior Vice President/Deposit Operations Manager.

John spent the last year working with Deloitte & Touche in Memphis, TN and received his CPA designation in September.

We believe that both of these additions will add significantly to Commerce Bank’s ability to service our customers more effectively.  Please stop by our banking office and welcome them to the team!

Commerce Bank is a community bank providing friendly and personal service. We are an equal opportunity employer with 26 full-time employees, a convenient main office and more than $91 million in total assets as of December 31, 2013. Commerce Bank is the only locally owned and managed bank in Corinth, MS and has more than 50 stockholders.

Commerce National bank was organized during the second half of 1998 and opened for business on January 19, 1999. The bank began operations at 301 South Cass Street with 11 full-time employees and has grown and prospered as it provides personal service with a hometown flavor that customers seem to desire. In less than two years, the bank outgrew its original office and moved across the street to 306 South Cass to a much larger building that allows the bank to provide better service for its customers.

We’ve got great products and services delivered by a smart, friendly staff – and we can deliver it on-line or in person. Growth is wonderful – but not at the expense of our clients. We are committed to meeting financial needs of our clients. Your finances are very personal and we realize that. Our associates are well-trained and eager to assist you with whatever banking needs you have, whether on the phone, in person or over the internet.

Our Mission Statement:

It is the mission of Commerce Bank to create an environment that will enable us to attract and keep the very best employees in order to meet the financial needs of our communities and to be profitable and provide a reasonable return for shareholders while maintaining safety and soundness for our customers.
